Main duties include ringing up sales, bagging items, honoring coupons, collecting payment and giving appropriate change.
Responsible for cash drops, counting the contents of cash register drawer at the end of each shift, maintaining receipts, ATM, Lotto/Lottery records and withdrawals.
Maintaining fully stocked shelves and reporting when merchandise, supplies or stock is low and prepare for quarterly inventory audits.
A high school diploma or its equivalent may be required and/or 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Abides by pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
Handle cash, debit or credit transactions with customers Scan goods and collect payments Ensure pricing is correct Bag items carefully Issue change, receipts, refunds, or tickets Redeem gift cards and coupons Authorizing gas pump, imprinting credit card on S28 form when card strip is unreadable Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change Make sales referrals, cross-sell products, introduce new ones Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment Keep store, coffee, food and checkout areas clean, stocked and tidy Maintain outside station property clean of debris and spills Notify Manager/General Manager of any gas spills, accident or incident.
Keep a record of accidents and incidents along with customer witness statements Keep reports of specified transactions Process returns and check to see if items are damaged Answer customers' questions and get a manager if answer doesn't solve the issue Pleasantly deal with customer.
